Introducing The Silver Grain
A new digital mini-zine

Hi Dear Readers!
The world is upside down, and things feel especially heavy right now. We all deserve a little lightness, so let’s make room for some distraction and indulgence.
But first! In my last newsletter I failed to mention that I was featured on one of my favorite writers here on Substack, Michelle Martin in her Series of “Book Recs From Friends”. It was such a joy to participate and an honor to do it with Michelle!
This week I was thinking about what I wanted to create (I was itching to make something new) and here she is: The Silver Grain - A digital mini-magazine. This was inspired by two notable writers here on Substack: Gabby Whiten and Hannah Connolly. Hannah just released her in-print mini mag and it’s an incredible work of art. Gabby has a Weekly mini-mag spread which looks and feels exactly like a page in a high-end fashion magazine. This is my take on a mini-zine, a combination of Butterfly Notes in magazine format and I hope to keep adding versions of it monthly.
The mini-mag is best viewed through this link (you can also access it by clicking on the below images) preferably on your laptop, or you can simply peruse it directly here in this post. By visiting the link above, there will be clickable links within the images too - to make it an interactive experience. Thank you so much for reading!
Until next time…
Flutter on,
Sara

Well this was incredibly fun! I'm reading Broken Country right now and cannot put it down. I think you're going to love it. I love the NYTimes focus feature. I subscribed and am excited to see those each week. What a gift to really slow down and take in art. We need more of that!
This is so cool! Love all the ways you use your talents!
