All there is
I'm back, a quick thought about community, B.U.T.T.E.R.F.L.Y. notes & a HUGE Black Friday SALE!
“Because every day is all there is.”— Joan Didion
Hi Dear Readers,
It’s been a while since I’ve written, and I’m eager to be back. I like to keep it real here; it’s been a tough couple of weeks. Now more than ever I am reminded to connect with a community, which includes the one we’ve built here on the little corner of the internet. This week’s B.U.T.T.E.R.F.L.Y. notes will hopefully feel like cuddling up with your favorite cat, dog, or kid(s) and a chance to escape *certain realities*.
The best news for you today is that my Black Friday Sale is LIVE until next Friday, November 29th.
Here’s the scoop:

If you’ve been thinking about purchasing it but waiting for the right time - THIS IS IT! This sale begins NOW and will end on Friday, November 29th at 12pm.

FOR CLIENTS - STARTING NEXT FRIDAY
I am offering $100 off family sessions for 2025 for a limit of 10 clients. This will be a first come, first serve offer and will end after 10 clients have purchased their session. In my newsletter next Friday, I will share a form to book these sessions. I will send you an invoice for the deposit and it must be paid to claim this offer. Be sure to be on the lookout for that early morning on November 29th!
And now onto the eleventh Chapter of B.U.T.T.E.R.F.L.Y. Notes. A roundup of little notes I’ve made throughout the month.

📺 To Watch
I can’t believe it’s been two years since the first season of Bad Sisters. This show is one of my favorite of all time. It is a dark comedy and the first season was about five Garvey sisters—Eva, Grace, Ursula, Bibi, and Becka—who all live in present-day Dublin. After Grace's abusive, controlling husband John Paul dies unexpectedly, the sisters find themselves at the center of a life insurance investigation. I will be starting the second season this weekend and cannot wait to see what the sisters are up to this time around.
📚 To Read
I’ve been in a bit of a reading rut but finally stumbled upon one thriller that has me in binge mode.
1) A Very Bad Thing by J.T. Ellison
The premise: A great writer knows when to deliver a juicy plot twist. But for one author, the biggest twist of all is her own murder. 👀
This one is up next for me:
2) James by Percival Everett
This was recommended to me by a friend and I can’t wait to dig in. According to Goodreads, this story is “a brilliant, action-packed reimagining of Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, both harrowing and darkly humorous, told from the enslaved Jim's point of view.”
3) Billie Eilish Has Grown by Alessandra Codinha
It was a breath of fresh air getting to know Billie Eilish more in this piece from the November issue of Vogue.
👩🎓 Educate Me
What if we act as if we love the future?
writes about climate action and building the world we want to live in.Here are a few of her call-to-action ideas that I am inspired to start right now:
BRING YOUR SUPERPOWERS.
Be gentle with yourself on the “What are you good at?” question. Put your insecurities aside and simply consider what you have to offer — in your personal life, professional life, and civic life. If we each harness our superpowers, that will actually enable the radical changes we need.
NOURISH JOY.
There are so many things that need to be done — don’t pick something that makes you miserable! It’s imperative to avoid burnout, so choose what enlivens and energizes you. Take climate change seriously, but don’t take yourself too seriously. The work can and should be gratifying and punctuated with joy.
LOVE NATURE.
And remember that you are a part of it. I can’t say it better than Rachel Carson: “Those who contemplate the beauty of the Earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts.”

Being Frenshe Hair Body and Linen Mist - Moon Milk
It’s hard to describe this scent but it is lovely, warm, and light. It is described as a soothing blend of creamy oat milk, warm vanilla, fresh nutmeg, and ginger flower. The perfect Winter fragrance for someone who is very picky about scents!

Us. by Gracie Abrams & Taylor Swift
I love the combination of their songwriting skills and voices together on this beautiful track.
🪄 Yes, Please!
By now I know everyone has seen the trailer for Wicked. Their press run has been looooong. But I am SO excited this movie/musical. As a former choir nerd, I’ll never not be enchanted by musicals and these two women have the most incredible voices. Here is a gift article, A ‘Wicked’ Tearful Talk With Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande for your reading pleasure.
As always thank you for being here and I’ll see you next week!
Flutter On,
Sara
